Another fine day here...high around 80 F/27 C with low humidity. Low this morning was a comfortable 55 F/13 C. Looks like one more night of good sleeping conditions before the useless weather returns.

You have been having a great summer! Avoiding lots of heat. Lots of people down south have been hoping that heat goes north so it is not just us suffering. Though I'm enjoying the heat.

Yeah it hasn't been too bad. Fourth of July weekend was divine and this past weekend was pleasant as well.

Nasty heat and humidity returns this week. No extreme heat, but hot and sticky nonetheless.

Well, 2016 will likely be the hottest year since records have been kept again.

I saw where lightning struck two people yesterday in the area. Unfortunately, it looks like one of them was seriously injured.

An isolated t'storm came thru this evening, which brought some gusty winds. I got 0.08 inches of rain - the same total I got yesterday. I wonder if I actually got more, since it wasn't measuring during wind-driven rain.

No complaints about Summer so far as we near midway point!

No heat waves
Only 2 days with 90+
Not much rain
Lots of sun
Most importantly NOT HUMID!

Looking at the average temp for June 1 - July 12.... we aren't cooler than last year but I don't remember last year as being a favorite for me.

Here's why ..........

Amount of water vapor in the air..... This graph shows the amount of water vapor in the air. In other words another indicator of how humid it is.

NO WONDER WHY I'm LOVING IT. Most days this summer has been below normal and dry!

6am temps.. 50s not far from me. 62° here. No complaints!
