Play the radar loop... it's moving NorthEast, so will miss you. Unless a new area develops or that one expands its moisture field but its gotta do that asap.

Pretty dry over most of the Northeast. I did notice some brown grass driving around today despite getting some rainfall this past week. Need a good soaking rain.

Still... anyone wanna guess how much rain has fallen in NJ?? Theres a cool thread and poll idea.

They are just in a lucky zone today...or unlucky if theres flooding. I'm guessing a couple spots got 3.50"+

Think of it like gasoline for a car. Fuel is fuel, but the higher Octane will make a car perform stronger.

But I noticed recent years that higher dews gives a more deep sound to it. I don't know
Definitely makes things more ripe if dewpoints are in the 70s. But yesterday there was enough forcing anyway. Interesting point about stronger thunder, I guess clouds tend to get taller in very humid air.

We've had one day with a 100F+ heat index this year. No idea what the average is.

The airport has picked up more than 3 inches past 2 days. Officially at 7.82 inches of rain for the month of July so far with more on the way. We had many thunderstorms yesterday with lots of CG strikes. The rain was very heavy and warranted a flash flood warning in many places.
