Sometimes a climate doesn't follow the conventional seasons.
NH
winter: Dec-Feb 3
spring: Mar-May 3
summer: Jun-Aug 3
fall: Sep-Nov 3

winter: Jun-Aug 3
spring: Sep-Nov 3

fall: Mar-May 3
For Example In seattle the the three warmest months are Jul-Sep and the three coldest are Dec-Feb and so the seasons look something like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle#Climate
winter: Dec-Feb 3
spring: Mar-Jun 4
summer: Jul-Sep 3
fall: Oct-Nov 2
I know I'm not using the term season correctly because it's based off of the sun. So I guess it would be more accurate to say that the hottest season in Monterey is fall, rather than summer, but either way it doesn't follow a normal pattern.
So what place do you think has the strongest seasonal lag?
This place in Alaska has the most winter seasonal lag I've seen. Coldest month is February and March is colder than January, and April is colder than December!
^^ Because of no sunrise / solar noon angle too low till late winter/early spring
I think it has more to do with being surrounded by ice-bound seas in spring rather than the sun angle being too low. This would make more sense if the latitude was say, 80 N instead of 63 N.
