How often does 90 degree days happen in your place? According to AccuWeather in 2013 there's 204 days. Here's the number month-by-month. The number in brackets is the highest high for each month.

January: 1 (90)
February: 9 (92)
March: 23 (95)
April: 23 (93)
May: 22 (94)
June: 23 (94)
July: 8 (93)
August: 16 (94)
September: 17 (95)
October: 29 (93)
November: 23 (93)
December: 10 (93)

Total: 204

The longest streak is 23 days from 8 October to 30 October.

But it's not as bad as you think. The highest is only 95. It's always hot but never very hot.

Once or twice a year usually, 30°C+ (86°F+) days about 3 to 5 days per annum.

I think Mecca is the worst. Among all major cities in the desert it's the hottest in winter. Other cities like Dubai are actually pleasant in winter but Mecca is still hot even in "winter".

I counted the number of 90 degree days in 2013 and there's 340. That's nasty.

In 2013, we had 14 days above 90 F. Man, for a week we also had dew points above 80 F . A month later, it dropped down to the low 50's F at night. How pleasant . Finally, I was able to open my windows at night.

According to Accuweather, Hong Kong has 53 days of 90F or above per year on average.

Midway airport averaged 24 day at or above 90F between 1928-2007, since 2007 the average is 23.9 days

ORD averages 17 or 18 90 degree days
