This March was well above average, and it was the hottest start to March in a long time.

Posting my PWS data, I will post the Melbourne Airport table once the full set of data is released on BoM.

This March was well above average here. Data still coming in. MDW had an average high of 11.6C. The NWS station nearest to my house is missing today's high, but we will clock in at over 12C.

Very warm and sunny first half of the month, got to 40˚C on the 13th and 14th yet cooled down and became quite cloudy in the latter third of March.

The site where I get the raw data from is down at the moment, but from what I can remember the temps were about 0.2C below average, rainfall about 35 percent above despite the dry spell in the middle and sunshine was close to normal at around 100 hours.


Snowfall was 17 cm which made up for a poor winter snow-wise, even if both the snowfalls we had melted more or less as soon as it stopped falling.
