Today's Unbelievably Generous Questions:
Someone made news recently by giving one of her kidneys to a stranger.
-Would you ever in your wildest dreams?
-What about to a family member?

Family yes. Others? I don't know.

Bonus Section:
Grandpa played the guitar well, Aunt Suzie had a great memory, etc.
-Tell us any quality/ies you inherited or believe you share with family or kin:
-----or
-If you don't know blood relatives, any quality/ies you share with adopted family:

I inherited the family Butt. Will leave it at that.

Extra Credit:
Have you made or received a "wrong number" phone call?

Who hasn't? What is really fun is when you misdial when calling international.

Foodie Questions:
Your favorite jelly bean flavor?

Since they just don't seem to have a stinky cheese flavor I will go with lemon.

Do you like cinnamon rolls?

Their great if you leave the cinnamon out. Otherwise I will pass.

Cold cereal:
-Soggy or
-Wet but crunchy or
-Dry?

Look folks. If cereal was meant to be soggy or wet it would be sold soggy or wet. But it is not sold soggy or wet. Cereal is sold dry. That is the way I like it.

Every put a liquid other than milk in cereal?

Well ok. There is one exception to the dry cereal rule. Beer may be added to Cheerios.

Just for fun:
Childhood memories of:
-A fragrance:

Stinky cheese....yum

-Snow or other weather days:

When I lived in Western Alaska the bus kids got sent home early if the wind picked up while it was snowing. We rode a bus 16 miles and the road would drift over real fast

-Something that wasn't funny then, but is now:
Which bone head stunt of mine do you want to know about? You can choose from...Riding my bike under an airplane...Forgetting to answer half the questions on a college midterm...Trying to go home for Thanksgiving during an ice storm...Changing a flat tire while being watched by a very large brown bear.

Today's Unbelievably Generous Questions:
Someone made news recently by giving one of her kidneys to a stranger.
-Would you ever in your wildest dreams? I believe I would. I'm in the registry for that and for bone marrow.
-What about to a family member? Yep.

Bonus Section:
Grandpa played the guitar well, Aunt Suzie had a great memory, etc.
-Tell us any quality/ies you inherited or believe you share with family or kin:
-----or
-If you don't know blood relatives, any quality/ies you share with adopted family: My dad had a beautiful singing voice and both my sister and I inherited that gift.

Extra Credit:
Have you made or received a "wrong number" phone call? Of course. Hasn't everyone?

Foodie Questions:
Your favorite jelly bean flavor? Anise (black).

Do you like cinnamon rolls? Of course. Doesn't everyone?

Cold cereal:
-Soggy or
-Wet but crunchy or Wet but crunchy.
-Dry?

Every put a liquid other than milk in cereal? I don't recall ever doing that. My dad used to occasionally put coffee on cereal.

Just for fun:
Childhood memories of:
-A fragrance: Jergens Lotion, which my mom used on her hands. She died almost 45 years ago, but the smell of Jergens still immediately evokes happy childhood memories from me.
-Snow or other weather days: The "Blizzard of '67." The Chicago area, including our neighborhood in Gary, Indiana, was buried under more than 2 feet of heavy, wet snow in less than 24 hours in late January of 1967. For us kids, it was fantastic fun. But I imagine it was a nightmare for our parents. Dad was stranded at his workplace for three days; roads were impassable so no one could go to the grocery store; emergency vehicles couldn't get through, even on the major streets and highways. But as kids we were oblivious to all of the problems. We just enjoyed being off school and playing in the huge snow drifts.

-Something that wasn't funny then, but is now: The then-stylish elephant pants I wore during my college years.

Today's Unbelievably Generous Questions:
Someone made news recently by giving one of her kidneys to a stranger.
-Would you ever in your wildest dreams? In my wildest dreams, yes. IRL, I would have to seriously have to think about it.
-What about to a family member? Still thinking...

Bonus Section:
Grandpa played the guitar well, Aunt Suzie had a great memory, etc.
-Tell us any quality/ies you inherited or believe you share with family or kin:

Extra Credit:
Have you made or received a "wrong number" phone call? Yes to both.
Foodie Questions:
Your favorite jelly bean flavor? Licorice, is that a flavor of jelly bean? If not, then I have no favorite - I like them all.

Do you like cinnamon rolls? YES! Oh my, YES! Long Live Cinnabon!

Cold cereal:
-Soggy or
-Wet but crunchy or Stealing toosie's answer because it's perfect - crunchy with very little milk or dry as a snack
-Dry?

Every put a liquid other than milk in cereal? I don't think so. I want to say beer when I was in the military, but that may have been a buddy of mine.

Just for fun:
Childhood memories of:
-A fragrance: Big Wheel Cologne (now called Chairman 80) I would bathe in this cologne knowing that I had it going on
-Snow or other weather days: Before going to sleep on a snowy night, I loved making plans of what I was going to do with my brother in anticipation that we'd get a snow day the next morning. Oh, when I was wrong I would leave home deflated, with what felt like concrete blocks on my legs, on the way to school.
-Something that wasn't funny then, but is now: Drawing a blank, my apologies.

To a stranger = no, to certain family members = yes.

For my kiddos/grand-kiddos in a heartbeat!

Your favorite jelly bean flavor?
Cherry - I only like the outside of any of them.

Do you like cinnamon rolls?
Homemade yes, but much prefer apple fritters!

Cold cereal:

-Wet but crunchy or
-Dry?

Every put a liquid other than milk in cereal?

Just for fun:
Childhood memories of:
-A fragrance: Aroma of great food cooking at my Grandmother's
-Snow or other weather days: Have photos of me at two knee-deep in snow when my Dad was stationed up north but no real memory of that, so zero snow day memories growing up, but many about days spent year-round at or on the ocean swimming, fishing, boating & skiing.

Today's Unbelievably Generous Questions:
Someone made news recently by giving one of her kidneys to a stranger.
-Would you ever in your wildest dreams?
Probably not
-What about to a family member?
Probably would. That said, I don't know if they would take a 67-year-old kidney.

Bonus Section:
Grandpa played the guitar well, Aunt Suzie had a great memory, etc.
-Tell us any quality/ies you inherited or believe you share with family or kin:
-----or
-If you don't know blood relatives, any quality/ies you share with adopted family:

Many in my family are musical, and though I myself am not talented I have enjoyed a lifelong love and appreciation for music. Depression also runs in my family, and I have inherited that as well.

Extra Credit:
Have you made or received a "wrong number" phone call?

Yes, but it hasn't happened very much since the advent of mobile phones, where you can see and correct the number before placing the call. Because my last name ends in a vowel, I sometimes get telemarketing calls in Spanish (which I don't speak).

Foodie Questions:
Your favorite jelly bean flavor?
Licorice

Do you like cinnamon rolls?
Yes, but I need to stay far, far away from them.

Cold cereal:
-Soggy or
-
Wet but crunchy or
-Dry?

Every put a liquid other than milk in cereal?
Soy milk
Mocha Mix

Just for fun:
Childhood memories of:
-A fragrance:
Christmas trees, bayberry candles, chocolate cake baking
-Snow or other weather days:
I used to love rainy days.
-Something that wasn't funny then, but is now:
Teenage angst, such as the terror I went though in 7th grade when I learned the school was building a gym with showers and that i would have to change clothes and shower in front of other girls! I went through months of anxiety and dreaded it, but when it actually happened, I suddenly realized that everyone else was taking their clothes off, too, and it wasn't a big deal. It amuses me now to remember how frightened I was over nothing.

Thanks, bjh!

-Would you ever in your wildest dreams? Heck, no! I know someone who gave a kidney to a friend, and now SHE'S having problems with her one.
-What about to a family member? Depends on the member.

Bonus Section:
Grandpa played the guitar well, Aunt Suzie had a great memory, etc.

-----or Inherited Mom's artistic ability. Until I reached my 40's I had a phenomenal memory for places and events, but I really don't know where I got that from. I do have my mother's sixth sense.
-If you don't know blood relatives, any quality/ies you share with adopted family:

Extra Credit:
Have you made or received a "wrong number" phone call? Yes, usually voice-mail for someone else because I never answer numbers that I don't recognize.

Foodie Questions:
Your favorite jelly bean flavor? Liqorice. I like buttered popcorn, too.

Do you like cinnamon rolls? LOVE them! One of my favorite things.

Cold cereal:
-Soggy or
-Wet but crunchy or
-Dry? Yes, Frosted Flakes.

Every put a liquid other than milk in cereal? No.

Just for fun:
Childhood memories of:

-Snow or other weather days: Sunny days at the beach as a kid.
