Looks kinda like Tuscon which I rate higher than Phoenix.
Ironically, "Cold Phoenix" pretty much matches "Actual Kingman, AZ" stat for stat

Coldest months ever... although the average highs for June-August are STILL warmer than the hottest it's ever gotten on a day I rode in an Accord (95 F / 35 C officially, but one Accord has a recorded temperature of 95.7 F / 35.4 C so it must have been warmer there on July 12, 2015 than at the official NWS weather station)

cold one as well....

because it has chilly (but not cold) winters, and still several months near the 35c average high, so it still feels like a desert climate, just continental and with a cool period.
