Leader of Daesh Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi has called Drumpf's Muslim ban a "big blessing", because it supposedly means that the US is at war with Islam, and it will help ISIS in their recruiting.
And it will, anyone with a single brain cell can see that what Trump has done is like pouring petrol onto a fire. Dangerous, stupid, stupid man...
Radical Marxism and Leninism thinks that to create the perfect utopian classless society people have to be indoctrinated and brainwashed to make socialism work. At the same time propaganda and mass politics must be used to get the people to forget the old "bourgeois" thought and philosophy, like the right to ownership.
Doesn't the left have a bit of the same attitude in reverse? As in the masses are being exploited by the capitalist class and their being brainwashed by propaganda to accept the status quo? Bernie Sanders made remarks that hinted at the same outlook: 90% of Americans would be left-leaning if it weren't for corporate influence.

'Cultural' in the sense that this indoctrination is not to promote a political but cultural idea, ie progressivism, multiculturalism, human rights and liberalism. Hard core believers even think that low-brow entertainment like The Kardashians are a part of this campaign, getting preoccupied in mindless entertainment instead of focusing on "real" things, like how White meat-eating heterosexual men are so oppressed in today's society.
What about low-brow entertainment like the Apprentice?

He's now quoting Trotsky... every possible American government is both corrupt and right-wing to him... he linked to this if anyone's curious

Sanders may have a point with corporate media, but I think he's exaggerating.

The moderate left candidates for the French presidential election lost the primaries and the main non-extremist right wing candidate will most likely have to resign. What's left now? Le Pen and some big time left wing utopist? It must be a nightmare.

What about Emmanual Macron? Or is he the left wing utopist you're referring to?
I hope anyone but Le Pen wins. Even disregarding her beliefs, she's a Putin sympathiser/apologist like every other right-wing populist in Europe, and for that reason alone she deserves to lose.
I like that he's rather young as well - 39. So many leaders who are like 70. They should go retire or something.
