Mariehamn, Ã…land Islands. I can imagine the island is somewhat significantly moderated in winter compared to Turku however nearly identical average temperature in summer. Mainland coastal southern Finnish cities are still great though.
It's still quite continental. Of course the very cold winters in the 80's affect the averages.
St Petersburg- that lies partly on the 60th. The western Scottish and Norwegian climates have mild winters but as well the other seasons there are weak, especially summer because of the oceanity. In Siberia or N.American inland the winters in turn are too brutal.
So, my eyes it could be the best
Central Sweden is a question of definition though Since I live where I do, Falun is central Sweden to me, whereas people who live north of there would call it the south. But given that Falun is 23.4 for 2002-2015 it renders the place warmer in summer also in 1981-2010 to Turku, at least during daytime. Normal correlation is 0.5 degrees difference so Falun is likely somewhere around the 23 marker for that period.
I see Joensuu being mentioned above. The place has no Weatherbox on Wiki. Does it have a station with 1981-2010 averages? If so, Ariete, it'd be nice of you to add a weatherbox there
Helsinki has an average of 23.5C/14.0C in July with the 2002-2015 method.
I think I'd like interior Alaska or Yukon. Winters are cold but not ridiculously so like in Siberia, summers are still sunny and warm. Transitional seasons are quick, none of that months long drizzle and mud we get here.
now i realized fmi hasn't even made the joensuu 81-10-normal public. i just said it because it's the largest city in north karelia. however, i just discovered some very interesting climate data for my favorite climatic region in finland: ilomants.
