So I thought it'd be a great way to start the new year off (it's already past midnight in half of the world) by predicting what weather evens may unfold in your location this year! The station I'll reference is Norrköping. Here's my take:

Jan: 1.3/-4.0 (46 mm)

January starts off now at a warm note and rainy note, but will sooner get colder again, although frequent extended periods below freezing will not occur, although the latter part will see some clear harsh frost nights going down to -15C to bring the averages down.

Feb: -0.2/-5.8 (23 mm)

The cold start will heavily influence February, a three-week period of permanent snow cover will follow, although not significant in height. Bad winter for cross-country skiing but a happy ending for snow lovers.

Mar: 6.4/-3.0 (18 mm)

March will be dry as usual, with significant day to day variations. One night will hit -12C for example. No significant bursts of March "heat" will leave days rather subdued.

Apr: 10.2/1.2 (38 mm)

Apart from an early-month brief snowfall, April will mostly see calm slightly below-recent average weather. Cold influences from March will remain along with quite high cloud cover. April 29 will see the first 20C day of the year.

May: 16.3/5.9 (44 mm)

A rather mediocre May, warmest day will land at 23.5 C and coldest day max somewhere around 12C. In other words, not that large shifts. Quite sunny at the end as usual.

Jun: 21.4/8.8 (39 mm)

June will be quite sunny and have a few days in the high 20's, enhancing summer expectations. No thunderstorms will be recorded, with quite calm weather to be expected.

Jul: 21.8/13.0 (86 mm)

The after-effects of the La Niña year will affect summer somewhat, the warm July temps never properly arriving, instead seeing a lacklustre 18-24C range most of the time with some 20 mm-rain-days and two-three thunderstorms. Warmest temp will land at 27.6C on July 24.

Aug: 23.4/12.8 (48 mm)

August is when the warm air finally will emerge for a few days near 30C right at the beginning of the month. The warmest day of the year will be at Aug 3 with 29.1C. August will then calm down but still retain a sense of warmth unusual for the month as high-pressure systems have finally emerged as typical when experiencing cool July's.

Sep: 18.8/9.8 (55 mm)

September will carry some of that warm August air through and see several days early on at 22-23C. Soon that temp will of course drop off but still sufficient to be above average.

Oct: 11.1/4.4 (43 mm)

October will see a bit above average sunshine and stable temps. As typical of recent years, frosts will be few and far between, the first arriving on Oct 15.

Nov: 3.8/-1.6 (60 mm)

Cold low-pressure easterlies will take precedence like the Kaliningrad express did this time, although with less extreme cold snaps. There will be a significant amount of cold rain and sleet, but apart from a week at the end no real snow cover.

Dec: -1.0/-5.8 (40 mm)

Having had several quite mild December's we're at least due a 2012 again. I'd say the Kaliningrad express hangs on against the Scottish "hurricanes" and hence it'll become properly snowy around Christmas. Having said that, there will be an eighth consecutive New Year's Eve without frost Coldest temp of the year will be recorded on Dec 17 with -18.8C!

Thoughts on your weather year ahead? It doesn't have to be this extensive of course

(Not gonna do precipitation because I honestly have no clue)

For reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia#Climate

January: 40/27 - Models are pointing to an average January.
February: 47/30 - Last year was mild too, but we are still due for warmer Februarys after the past 5 or so years.
March: 53/35 - Gonna say average for March to, our 5 Marches have been very all over the place in terms of temperature.
April: 69/46 - April has been VERY consistent recently so we could be in for a very warm or cold month. I sided with warm.
May: 74/54 - normal month and hopefully an improvement on last year's DISASTER.
June: 82/64 - We haven't had a below average June in a while and I really hope we get one.
July: 85/68 - It seems impossible at this point to get a legitimately below average July but I really hope we get one next year.
August: 85/68 - Gonna say average for August because it will be very difficult to get all summer months below average.
September: 79/61 - I predict September will be slightly above average after a string of cooler months.
October: 63/46 - Last time we had a below average October was 2009 so we are due for one next year.
November: 56/39 - I really am not sure about this month, I'll just play it safe and call it average.
December: 40/28 - We are due for a cold December after 2015.

Predicting a wet May and a record warm September early. Also a cold July.

Quite an average but wet year too. Sun above average to make up for last year's abysmal display.

This is more like a wish-list, as you really can't predict a year.

January: seems to start cold. I hope for a very snowy one.
February: a normal one. Not above or below average.
March: whatever... It'll be crap anyway. So long as the snow and ice melts I'm ok.
April: we are well due a very warm one. Hope for records to be broken
May: hope for some impressive swings. Embarrassing that the northernmost muncipality has a higher May record high than Turku and Helsinki.
June: warm and super sunny.
July: 2010 revisited, but with the emphasis on SW Finland this time.
August: super warm, no wide swings and handsome thunderstorms.
September: super warm. Sun sun sun sun!
October: super warm and stable for nice foliage.
November: super rainy.
December: winter could start in time. A white Christmas.

First half of January will be pretty cold. Second half average.
February will be warm and melty in the first half but the second half will be cold and snowy.
March will be warm and sunny and the snow will melt a week or so before April.
April will bring back some snow right after it melted and the snow will last until a week into April. After that it's average, with rain, sunshine and graupel.
May will be very sunny, and towards the end a week of 20'C temps. June will have a very short spike of warmth, up to 26'C+ but only for a day or so. Mid June will be cold with 10 days of 13-18'C highs and lots of clouds.
July will be very warm though and have 10 days above 25'C. Average high will be 24'C.
August will see a few sunny days in the beginning, but then there will be lots of rain, clouds, and sub-20'C temps. End of August will see some sunny 22'C+ days though. September will be sunny but mostly sub-18'C, but pretty stable, slowly falling in temperature.
October will be warm and cloudy.
November will be warm for the most part but with a short -10'C period. Less than 5 snow days. December will be very warm until the last week when it'll get pretty cold in time for 2018. Green christmas though.
