Yes, I'm used to this of course. Rest of South gets by as usual though. It's because all these troughs are focused on the east and both NC and VA are further east than the other southern states, that benefits us in big cold snaps from the Midwest though. Unfortunately the northeast is freezing us lately. Light freeze here with Temps hovering 1 above to 1 below freezing in most areas.
On March 1 we had a low of 47. We've only had three days that surpassed that temperature since then
