Comitan looks like a great holiday destination, can't pick a bad time to go. For living I'd go with Xichang, the mild winters are quick and the summers are mild-warm but long. With an inverted precip pattern + sunshine pattern it'd be awesome.
Mexico has some delicious climates, thanks to all those highland features. Comitan is a great exponent of a comfy climate temps-wise. Also the sunshine is just perfect, and i like the rain pattern. However i dislike that it's a lot drizzly, too much Pp days. In the other hand Xichang fall short of a more 4 seasons climate type, with those pseudo-winters, and also it's cloudier.
Both are A's. Can't really decide. I like the warmer but not warm summer nights in Xichang and the slightly cooler winter season. But Comitan is no A/C no heat weather year round.
Both are very good non-traditional climates. I would pick Comitán for the higher sunshine, but both places are really pleasant
