Around 19C would be normal for last week of May correct? There are a few 18-19C days in the forecast though.

Look at the sun amounts and rainfall. For a 2 week spell in late May, I'd expect to see maybe 3-4 days with showers, and at least 6-8 hrs per day.
If that forecast is correct, we will beat the record for the cloudiest May on record (112 hrs in 1981). The 2nd cloudiest May is way back, with 123 hrs.

2006 had a warm June, a record July, and a cool/cloudy August.
2007 had a wet and cloudy June, a very cool/wet/cloudy July and August.

I think we will have a shocker, but at least 1 short lived heat spike like in 2015, in the mid 30s.
Is there no way you could get the St. James' Park data, even if you had to pay for it? I'm sure I remember reading that that had been the warmest place in the country on certain days, so they must have released some data at some point.
As it's a public body I'm sure you can request it under the freedom of information Act? It should be available
