As I said in the other thread, I reckon about 90°F (32°C) is ideal. It's warm enough to definitely feel like summer, but if the wind stays up and the humidity stays down it's still a very pleasant temperature.
For a summer low, I'd go with about 70 (21) - about room temperature, cool enough you can do late night/morning activities without getting hot and sweaty, but warm enough you won't feel cold or need any extra clothing.
Average high in izmit for July and August is slightly cooler than 30℃ but I already feel like hell. A lot of days, temperature hits 34℃ in July and August but I like seasonality. What is so bad about izmit is, winters are too warm. Oceanic climates lack seasonility.
We have summer but we don't have winter. I would like to live in a seasonal climate and that is only possible with continental climates. 30℃ in a continental climate may not feel as hot as 30℃ in İzmit, which is an oceanic climate.

with a 21c average low in the warmest month I definitely sweat at night, providing the average dewpoint would be similar. I may sweat easily though.
