]The cool temps contribute to the pace of English football. No need to hold the handbreak in and players can run as much as they wish all the time. Kind of made its appeal with that high speed of the game.[/b]
Of course there's a linguistic component in the popularity of the English Premier League, but the air temps certainly haven't been there to harm it. Compare that to sleepwalking early October 25C games under the sun in Italy...
This can't be strictly true, the football season runs through the winter and apart from the Mediterranean coast it isn't any 'cooler' in England than anywhere else on the continent, in fact football leagues in Eastern Europe have colder temperatures to deal with.
The BPL is no colder than the Ligue 1, and is generally warmer than Bundesliga. In fact many Serie A games for teams such as Juventus and AC Milan are colder during the winter.
The UK's strange, warmer than most of Europe in the winter, and cooler during the summer.
yeah, youre all correct - Manchester e.g will be warmer than Milan in the middle of the football season .
Italy can get very cold , even Spain - Madrid ! Germany gets pretty nippy .
you all know this anway
Best winter cold this season in the EPL -Huddersfield . Winter Mildest -Bournemouth . London clubs might get there over the season with the added urban heat
Seville must be the warmest unless i've forgotten somewhere . - Canary islands teams ? will have to check

Or perhaps Newcastle? The wind whipping in off the North Sea? :-)
And Bastia is surely the warmest club in Ligue 1 to play for. I saw a video of some crowd trouble there a month ago and couldn't help but notice the weather conditions. I often overlook the fact that Corsica is a part of France.
Las Palmas are in La Liga and are based in the Canary Islands. Almost certainly the 'warmest' club in Europe to play in a major league.
Cheers for that one - wasn't sure if they were in the Segunda
