It's very close to summer here, just a bit less rain.
Like I said....sublime
I visited Vancouver 3 times ...all in summer ..and their summers are very good,
no need to AC, just the right temps and sunshine to enjoy the outdoors,
no bugs too.

With more sunshine in the summer and overall, Vancouver has the clear victory here . Vancouver also has more precipitation which supports richer vegetation.
Vancouver has warmer highs jan, feb, march, may, september....
you're wrong about march and may ...look again...as for october, november, december...
we're talking one or two tenths of a degree....over all not a big difference in average highs
any month really, except Vancouver january high is quite a bit warmer than Amsterdam.
Main reasons why imo Vancouver climate is superior ...more sunshine...peaking at the right time...
Vancouver summer is noticeably better....warmer summer lows too.
Vancouver is also approx 3 degrees closer to the equator and has stronger sun/sun angle...
High temps:
April: 13.5ºC Amsterdam / 13.2ºC Vancouver
May: 17.4ºC Amsterdam / 16.7ºC Vancouver
June: 19.7ºC Amsterdam / 19.6ºC Vancouver
July: 22.0ºC Amsterdam / 22.2ºC Vancouver
August: 22.1ºC Amsterdam / 22.2ºC Vancouver
September: 18.8ºC Amsterdam / 18.9ºC Vancouver
October: 14.5ºC Amsterdam / 13.5ºC Vancouver
November: 9.7ºC Amsterdam / 9.2ºC Vancouver
December: 6.4ºC Amsterdam / 6.3ºC Vancouver
Where am I exactly wrong? yes, you're right, March is warmer in Vancouver (high temps) I wanted to put in between June, not March. Btw May and October are enoughly warmer (high temps)
Yes you're right about the sun angle too. Vancouver has probably a more powerful sun, besides, it's barely 2-3ºN of latitude between both!
For me Vancouver. Hotter in summer, slightly hotter in winter but lower extreme minimums, more precipitations and probably more snow too. More decent sun hours and it has even a lower extreme maximum even if it is 3 degrees of latitude more South!

Amsterdam's average of snowy days 26
Vancouver's average of snowy days 8.73
Both are mentioned on their Wiki climate charts. Amsterdam has 3 times the snow of Vancouver!

It may has the triple of snowy days but knowing European Oceanic influenced Climates I think that Amsterdam has a max of 30 cm (12 inches) of snow per season. Probably those "snowy days" are just 2 hours flurries in their majority.
This is a battle of the official stations (I guess), not about "this downtown or those outskirts are warmer" so I got Amsterdam for this reason.
Amsterdam gets more snow, is less rainy, and got less rain days. Amsterdam ! Amsterdam has also warmer highs in March, April, May, October, November and December.Summers are crappy in both places.
This reasoning seems a little inconsistent, when one considers the reasoning you applied to Coruna being superior to Nelson, Nelson has about the same maximums, 470 hours more sun, and 35 days less rainfall than Coruna, yet you described Coruna, as "far better"
Are you saying that rain days are more important in Amsterdam/Vancouver, but not in the case of Nelson/Coruna?

I'm right about march ...you're right about june...we're both wrong and right
Here is who wins each month...
January ...Vancouver 6.9 ...Amsterdam 5.8 ....Vancouver wins by over 1 degree
February...Vancouver 8.2 ....Amsterdam 6.3 ...Amsterdam is cooler than Vancouver's january!
March .....Vancouver 10.3...Amsterdam 9.6 ....Vancouver still in the lead
April........Amsterdam 13.5...Vancouver 13.2 ...Amsterdam slightly warmer
May .......Amsterdam 17.4....Vancouver 16.7....Amsterdam safely warmer
June .....Amsterdam 19.7..... Vancouver 19.6...close enough to call it a tie
July ......Vancouver 22.2.......Amsterdam 22.0...also pretty close
August...Vancouver 22.2.......Amsterdam 22.1....very close
September..Vancouver 18.9...Amsterdam 18.8....slight edge Vancouver
October....Amsterdam 14.5....Vancouver 13.5......Amsterdam wins by a full degree
November Amsterdam 9.7 .....Vancouver 9.2.....another win for Amsterdam
December Amsterdam 6.4.....Vancouver 6.3 .....pretty much a tie really
Both "win" six months each, tie breaker for me is ...higher annual sunshine hours,
warmer lows, sunnier summers and milder winters in Vancouver.
