Well, it seems to me that since a couple of volcanic eruptions are imminent, I predict that the winter of 2017-2018 will be the coldest and driest winter on record, at least that is what I predict this winter will be like in Indianapolis.

Don't know about Washington or British Columbia, but I've found that Arizona and California are warm and dry in La Nina winters

What they are forecasting..

Not much different from Analogs but the Southern Jet not as suppressed south so will give wet Southeast, Ohio Valley and Mid Atlantic more if so.

The Western Ridge not peaking towards the Arctic as much and the axis is west more.

The dip in the Northeast not as deep but the Upper Mid West will feel it more

If it verifies, that may be an ok pattern here for winter.

Looks like we'll have a good winter here according to this map, because there's no way winter will pan out like this.

Yeah, most of the SW - specifically the interior SW - is dry during a La Nina as the northern stream tends to dominate. As a result, the NW is generally under a trough which features colder and wetter periods.
