And by unstable I mean whatever you think unstable means.

In my opinion, the month of the Climate A is more unstable because if the record high is 20°C and the average high is 16°C that means that the high of some days is sometimes below the daily mean (15°C). The month of the Climate B has a high diurnal range but since the record high is 30°C and the average high is 25°C, it's most likely that the highs hardly ever drop below the daily mean (15°C).

Ditto for the record lows and average lows.

Agree or disagree?

My first thought was obviously B- a month that can see 0C lows despite an average high of 25 has much more unstable temperatures, real 4 seasons in a day stuff.

But I think A might have more "unstable" weather. It has to be a cloudy, unsettled month with limited sunshine and probably windy as well. It looks eerily like October 2017 has been here in fact. While B looks like either a dry-season month in a tropical high-altitude climate or a warm-season month in a temperate semi-arid or desert climate- both of which would see very little rain and cloud and have very "stable" weather, just with large diurnal ranges.

So A for weather, B for temperatures.

B. A would feel basically the same all the time. 10 C / 18 F is not a huge difference.

That being said, both are very stable.
