Turpan, China has similar temperature extremes but is also extremely dry. I don't think there is a wet climate like the one you describe with such temperature extremes. Heihe, China has a wetter climate but with summers much cooler than in your example.
There's just a bit too much seasonal lag in the spring for my liking (with March being colder than November and April being colder than October), though it seems that summer starts up pretty fast.
I'm from North Texas so I don't mind the hot and humid summers, though those harsh winters would take some time to get used to.
