Bata in Equatorial Guinea has an interesting climate. Although in the Northern Hemisphere (at nearly 2 degrees N), its warm and cool seasons correspond to those of the Southern Hemisphere. This is because of the cold, Antarctic-influenced Benguela Current that overwhelms the weak Northern Hemisphere seasonality at this latitude.
