Rather strange winter so far here too. Quite often cold weather, but doesn't really take hold. Right now it's one of the colder weeks, but there's very little in the way of snow cover. It's adequate, but nothing notable. In spite of the general feeling of chilliness right now, the Jan 1-Jan 14 averages for Norrköping 35 miles west in a similar geographical spot were 2.3/-2.1 and there have been nothing resembling a cold snap since Christmas...

The running 31 day averages between Dec 15-Jan 14 is somewhat colder as a result, at 1.6/-2.2. Either way, if this week stays below freezing, this month will probably end up very close to the means of around 1°C January average highs in the end.

No rain here either.

Also one incredible thing is that we're having extremely dry weather in terms of relative humidity too. Last night I thought it felt nice on the bike and I was surprised to see it was 3c. The dewpoint was actually -5c, which is rather low for us considering the last winters I've seen here. Light southern breeze, good visibility, and no dampness.

We should see some precipitation towards the end of the week, it is getting necessary, I don't know if there's been anything since the snow of mid-december.

No snow is quite 'usual' for the UK, it's surprising how little winter rain there has been though, we haven't had a lot of rain for the last couple of years here which means the inevitable 'hosepipe' ban over the Summer unless we get a wet late Winter/Spring.

We have snow in the forecast on Saturday, albeit only a 50% chance. If nothing else we normally get a snow shower or two in December. To get nothing at all is not normal (though not too uncommon unfortunately).

I was checking the Stockholm webcams and noticed they had snow today. I assume you got some as well?

Where did you get that from? There isn't any snow here? None forecast for the next two weeks either (after that who knows), the mild spell is over though and things are a bit more seasonal.
