For me, Its Athens, GA due to a greater chance of cold snaps and snow in winter. Although, Georgia summers are still depressingly hot in my opinion. How will I ever manage .
As a student at UGA, I would have to say Athens, Georgia. For such a hot dry summer you really don't get much of a winter respite in Athens, Greece. Even though the winter highs are similar it can be kind of misleading. Athens, GA can still get very powerful cold snaps and periodic blasts of winter weather. We actually get more snow on average than Atlanta despite higher winter temps.
Plus, you have more storms in the summer to cool you off and with more foliage, our Autumn's are gorgeous.
Greece for being much warmer in winter. It is also warmer in summer, but a nice dry heat away from the coast. The beaches around there are beautiful, the summer is basically sunny everyday and it is dry.
