The two climates are almost identical in terms of temperature. However, Porto is much rainier than Melbourne and less spread over the entire year.

they're very close but I prefer Melbourne's rain total versus Porto so voted Melbourne.

Porto for its higher rainfall and Melbourne the lower sunshine.

Porto for slightly cooler summers and more rain to keep things green, the dry season doesnt seem to be that much ldrier than melbourne plus the colder temps reduce transpiration demands
