There is significant evidence to suggest that we are about to enter a mini ice age. Now no one will believe me until it happens. I have been doing lots of calculations in the last few days, looking at lots of logical pathways in my head. The jet stream will stop and the winds will start coming from the east in the UK

Have you been drinking? There is a cold snap heading to the UK from the east, which will give significantly colder than average temperatures, as well as a risk of snow, from early next week until early March. Are you getting confused?
I've many times gone through in my head multiple times how I ask a girl out and she says yes. Didn't affect my actual chances of getting a yes though. If only my mind could simulate these things as accurately as yours

A cold snap and world wide cool down of 20+ degrees are a horse of a diff color.

I think your fears are a tad overexaggarated my friend

In all fairness, as much as I fear what anthropogenic global warming will do to our planet and to the human race, it is a known fact that ANY trend towards global cooling would most likely be even more detrimental to humanity and to the planet than global warming would have been.
There is significant evidence to suggest that we are about to enter a mini ice age... The jet stream will stop and the winds will start coming from the east in the UK
The only way the jet stream is going to stop is if the earth stops spinning on its axis. If that happens, we'll have more important things to worry about. It is entirely possible for the earth to enter into a 'mini ice age'. I'm laying my money on a real ice age. This current interglacial is now longer than most previous interglacials, (on average). We're due.
Don't confuse the temporary retrograde motion in the trough of the jet stream or a retrograding low pressure system act as a harbinger of things to come.
I won't consider it a mini-ice age until we have three consecutive winters like the ice boxes that were 1976-77, and 1981-82, and three consecutive non-summers like the US had in 1992. (I remember it snowed on August 22nd in Montana and Idaho that year).
