Wouldn't have expected Seattle to have more sun than Pittsburgh
I give it to Seattle for the wonderful summers, but Pittsburgh has a slightly better winter thanks to the moderate amount of snow (although it is too cold for how much snow it gets, like much of the Eastern US)
I pick Pittsburgh due to better summers (temps and rainfall) and overral more interesting weather than boring oceanic even if its surprisingly less sunny, not much in it tho.
I think I'll choose Pittsburgh. Seattle is just too cool in the summer for me, June especially is disappointing and I like Sept in Pittsburgh. I'd prefer Portland over Pittsburgh though.

Yeah, I remember I was really into Seattle-type climates at one point, but I'm now more into stuff like Asheville now, places that are mild but 4-seasonal, and that are more interesting as well and less repetitive/stuck in patterns/ "boring oceanic" like you said. Pittsburgh is dull and chilly but further south has good sunshine totals and milder weather, and at elevation the summers are less intense than the lowland south.
Pittsburgh for having year-round precipitation (no dry summers-yuck), lower sunlight hours and more seasonal contrast.
