Not gonna lock in south enough to give FL any real cold. We will be on the edge all winter with warm weather. Just nothing to give us any big dig downs.

-NAO and -PNA is can be very good for the west too. See January 1969.

It can but I don't know if a negative PNA will be a dominant feature this winter. It was negative for much of October and early November but has trended positive since. Though you wouldn't be able to tell with this setup below for next week's storm

Wanted to also post the GFS which is showing blocking in early December. This would result in colder conditions, so lots of conflicting data
