So I was talking with this guy about how it got to 94F/34C with a heat index of 104F/40C today, and he replied "34C isn't that bad at all, and another guy near the DMV area agreed." He also said that it gets to 40C a lot where he is, and since he ignored the heat index of my city I assume that he's talking about actual air temperature. I don't know what city he lives in, but he did mention being right next to the beach in a city. So where in Brazil does the air temperature get to 40C often near a beach?

As far I know, it's Floriano, Piauí
Anual mean Tº over 28ºC. But it should be other contenders there, going bu the national map:

What it seems to be clear, it's that there are no known places in Brazil topping the 30º mark. However this map from the local met service doesn't all that well made to be honest. For example Sao Joaquim, the coldest brazilian town, averages 13.5ºC, yet it doesn't appear right colored in the map.
