It seems that a solid 8 inches plus are likely for my area of Floyd County at under 900 ft elevation. No mixed precipitation at all. The Wed/Thurs system is trending colder the last two model runs, appears to be mostly snow again with another 4-8 inches at least. The much colder air has been a joke, however, it seems like the arctic air ran into a brick wall east of the Illinois state line.

Believed for the first time ever, all of Texas is under a winter storm warning. New Orleans also has a winter storm warning. It's amazing how this cold air mass or masses just keep hanging around and got even colder. Normally, it would have moved on my now and temps back to the 50s or 60s. Temperatures here have stayed BELOW freezing since Sunday Feb. 7th. 2 to 4" of snow on my patio now with moderate to heavy snow. Fortunately, not as much as expected, so far, but still a ways to go.

I'm not complaining (finally!) about the lack of snow on Long Island, but do we really need to get freezing rain now?
