Rate this fairly wet Mediterranean climate, Scotts Valley, CA in Santa Cruz County at the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains:

C- definitely one of the more decent Mediterranean climates IMO.

Pretty nice climate, A- for me. I’d like warmer summers than that, especially the lows

I dislike Mediterranean climates. I like having rain during summertime in the form of thunderstorms.

This is like a cooler version of Cape Town where I used to live, with an even stronger winter rainfall bias. It's OK, I prefer Cape Town as mediterranean climates go for the warmer temperatures and a little more summer rain... you even get the odd thunderstorm and rain shower.

Nice climate but I think that those figures are actually from the nearby coastal town of Santa Cruz, rather the Scotts Valley itself, wich I guess it has to be somewhat colder and wetter instead, going by its environment, clearly more close to a cool hyperoceanic (in my system) than a mediterranean.

D+. Very boring, just never cold enough. Not offensive though, like e.g. hot climate types.

Scotts Valley is only at 500 ft elevation and the rainfall of over 30 inches is not Santa Cruz. The numbers look right.

B+ or A- (voted B). Mild temperatures and good rainfall averages for a Mediterranean climate.
