I'm from the UK and I get stereotypes that my country is always foggy or rainy there is hardly any fog expect in the winter and it doesn't rain as much either sure it's not a desert but it not a rainforest and oh it warmer than people think.

Mexico is always portrayed as a hot dry desert when in reality it has lush green forests and mountains Mexico City is on high altitude so don't expect to be a desert .

Australia is thought to hot and sunny all the time it's always beach weather or it's thought be nothing but a barren desert but In Tasmania the climate and scenery is more similar to the UK or Ireland than it is to the outback.

South European countries like Greece , Italy , Spain and Turkey all have lower records lows than north European countries such as Uk , Ireland Netherlands and Denmark or Iceland this is due to high altitude so are not the sunny paradises people make the, out to be and also the Gulf Stream which only affects north Europe so ones in the south can get colder due to that the fact they are not affected by it.

Russia is thought to be the coldest place outside of Antartica but the Black Sea coast is warmer than anything in the Uk and it average sea temperature is warmer than the cold alantic of the U.K. And there are also other warm places around Caspian Sea subtropical places and near desert places in the coldest country on earth which actually goes to Canada.

East Asian countries like China Japan north and South Korea are not the fertile rice growing fields that They are thought to be.
They can be colder than most would imagine I live the uk and winters in Seoul are way colder than anyone in the uk despite being far south due the lack of Gulf Stream the same could be said about China such as Harbin. And oh Japan is a island and it's winters are colder than the British Isles despite that the British Isles are north.

India is not swelteringly hot all the time is some places such as in Himalayas where in can get extremely cold.
Nor are is all of the Middle East Iran as well as Israel and LEbbonan Syria TUrkey have a more fertile climate and can get cold and snow.

So why not show places such as Russia having places like Los Angeles instead of just Siberia or Moscow and Saint Petersburg or why not show greenery in Australia cold weather in India they have all got diverse climates like the USA expect the uk which is same everywhere you go so show something different that is not the same weather everywhere in all these countries however no one calls the United States as either hot everywhere or cold everywhere because it depends on where you are same with all these nations.

I wouldn’t say that the rest of the world doesn’t stereotype about the weather patterns or climates of the United States……

You seem to be very well versed in international weather stereotypes, and you are not from the US, so why don't you speculate on why you think the US doesn't have one single stereotype for its weather?

Could it be that people worldwide are more familiar with various regions of the US with diverse climates (e.g. Hawaii, Alaska, New York, Florida, California) than they are with various regions of other countries? And that one reason for this might be the dissemination of films and other media from and about the US, which is not matched by other countries?

I mean that it is not thought be hot like India or the Middle East or that is not thought be cold like Russia when India has cold places and Russia has warm places so why not show that instead just labelling them as well is a hot country it is a cold country well USA can be both so can China so can India Russia turkey .

People have to get their stereotypes from somewhere. If Russia is presented in films, books, etc. as a cold snowy country then people are going to think it is a cold snowy country.

sensationalism why we always hear so many people die in India from heat or why some like Sochi will not appear on the news because is is not extreme like for instance the cold in the Midwest and heat in southwest in exaggerated because than it make headlines same with the Middle East or the reason and bushfires in Australia make international headlines it because their exciting.

Russia doesn't have any places like Los Angeles and certainly nothing like South Florida. Even Sochi is not nearly as warm as that. Most big Russian cities - Moscow, St.Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk have pretty damn cold winters.

In India, the big cities people know like New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai or Calcutta are warm year-round, so it's hardly surprising people think of it is as a warm country.

The U.S. has famous cities that are warm like L.A. or Miami and ones that are cold in winter like New York and Chicago. As a result it's widely known that climate varies a lot.

This pretty much sums it up.
