At least that's how it's been so far this spring. The Islands might've even hit 20C on May 12, but data is missing - it did hit 21C at my house near the lake in Oakville.

Montreal ended up being much warmer (as was forecasted)

May 9: 24C
May 10: 25C
May 11: 27C
May 12: 30C
May 13: 31C
May 14: 31C
May 15: 24C
May 16: 25C
And we got to 29.5C just before the storms rolled in. Now that the clouds are starting to clear, it will be interesting to see how the temperatures rebound.

Wet over the next week for the Southern U.S. Especially east TX, north LA, and south AR. Should alleviate dry conditions that have developed with little rain and temps in the 90's.

Much cooler today. 64F here and at Midway and 62 degrees at ORD under cloudy skies. Had some good downpours earlier. Definitely no drought here

Apparently the cool down will last but the warmup in week two won't. MJO phases that are forecasted to be in place over the next 2 weeks are cool

I'm staying positive for June. Still a couple of weeks away and no way to know exactly what's gonna happen yet.

Sure to be lots of sunny and warm days mixed in June regardless. This isn't 2009 after all.

Impressive heat
9:30pm temps. Still 80° in spots. I'm at 73°. max was 91.6°! Crazy for May

Last time Hartford (BDL) was 80° at 9pm was August 26, 2021

Last time Albany was 82° at 9pm was July 27, 2020

Meanwhile, check out Nantucket!

Surprised NYC isn't hotter but I bet you tomorrow morning they will retain their heat while everyone drops overnight

Fell to 19C with the rain, the rebounded to 26C. Then back down to 20C around sunset.

That storm did quite a lot of damage to the maples in the neighbourhood. Went for an evening walk and saw several trees with branches 1ft+ across broken down, including one that's dangling on the powerline at the end of our street...

The local hawks are making pterodactyl sounds, rhododendrons and lilacs are just about to bloom, Korean spice bush is perfuming the whole garden, and I just saw my first bat of the season.
