Nothing at all appealing about the weather today for April 8th

Not looking good for the rest of April and May either according to the ECMWF. Seriously our springs are trash

CFSv2 showing basically the same thing. Awful

I'm not trusting long range models this far out. Even the forecasts for early April are not panning out 100% from what they were saying earlier. We've definitely seen warmer temps and more sunshine than what we were seeing just a couple of weeks ago.

I'm taking a more "I'll believe it when I see it" approach to the rest of Spring.

I can handle a day or 2 of them temps. We just almost never see 30's anymore.

Remember though that most of the model maps posted show anomalies relative to climatology, not absolute temperatures. So at this time of year it can be continually getting warmer yet still be consistently below normal.

I'm enjoying the nice crisp April air as it tempers the brutal sun angle here.

Naturally. Our recent well below average weather still featured highs in the 50s i.e. temps which would have been seen as on the mild side of normal just a month ago.

However, he certainly has a point about a model trying to talk about the weather in 4+ weeks. Maybe it's better than rolling dice, but if so..not by a ton. That's not just 'crystal ball territory' that's 'ultra ultra ultra crystal ball territory'.

For me nope. Don't want to see any of those temps if its not the winter. Unfortunately it looks like the next two weeks I probably will be seeing more of them especially in the 10-15 day period. It looks awful here

Finally SUN and low 60s here today but looks like I'm just lucky... What the heck is that to my west! A trough! Crazy. Can't wait for the west to get it.

50s this afternoon in the northern gulf states?

Then it flips. GFS has a blizzard in Colorado Tuesday as it warms up in the East

Can I have at least 1 full month of well above normal temps this spring before Summer starts? Otherwise might as well keep these dips going another 9 straight months. lol. I only like ridges in the Spring!
