Spring like weather in Indianapolis yesterday and today with highs in the low 60s. A pretty moisture starved front tonight will bring temps back down into the upper 30s tomorrow but back up near 70 for the weekend with possibly some heavy rain. Next week, though, we'll be back into the 40s for highs again closer to normal.

It's funny how sometimes in the media they treat the Vancouver area like it's Canada's California or something but then you realize it's actually kind of a chilly climate.

Yes, well that's because being Canada's California is hardly the equivalent of playing in the big leagues. Definitely a minor league title.

It has a good advantage of being further north in latitude, something that will be a much greater advantage with warming climate trends with too much of the US becoming far too drought prone, fire prone, or overly warm.

No drought here after this system moves through

A ton of cold air on the back side of it too

Unfortunately, only a hint of rain in California--not enough to break the drought. No Miracle March this year.

With only 2 days in March supposed to be below 70° for a high temp I have tomato planting on my mind now. I can almost tastes them with some bacon and mayo on good bread.

Northern California and the mountains should see at least some precip though not enough to offset the drought by any means

Cold air will dominate mid March pattern

EPO might be a dominant factor
