Well I've been away for a while, so I shall update later on about the Winter Storm which swept through the Reno-Tahoe area during the Christmas period.
Does it snow in any parts of New Zealand during the winter ? Also do you know what was the lowest daytime high ever recorded in your country ?
Yup it can snows in New Zealand, the areas in the squared box rarely or have never had snow. Everywhere else gets snow in the year whether its a dusting what doesn't settle to a big dump. The Southern Alps receive huge amounts of snow a year (not sure of the figures)
The lowest daytime temp, I'm not entirely too sure because we have a poor weather met in NZ but it is at least -3C (26F), I would be surprised if it was below 23F).
