I'm insane... yet I wouldn't even do that!

I'll stick to going outside in hailstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, high winds, etc.

Uphere in Indiana at around the latter part of Winter a 45 degrees to us feels like 65 degrees.

This Winter has been a cold and unusually long one. This March 1st was the coldest start to March in 27 years.

I love Winter so the cold temps dont bother me

well back to the point. Would you think we are insane or not for being outside with no jackets, shorts etc... at temperatures like these?
Well ... living in a place where it can get up to 125 during summer, I would say you are crazy for being ANYWHERE without a coat if it's 75 degrees or less!

^^

Even I can handle just a t-shirt at 32 F, with no wind and bright sun, for about 5 minutes during our winter mild spells...
but I ALWAYS "freeze my butt off" in Autumn when we first go back to highs even at 59 F.

Our April average is 52/37 F, our October is 57/42 F...
But October nearly-always FEELS colder than April.
*Probably combined with shorter daylight hours too; April's days are about 12.5-13.5 hours long, Octobers 11.5-10.5 hours long

Many days I can remember still having to wear my coat in mid-June/July as well as use my heating.

Not insane gdude . After havng months of sub-freezing temps temps in the high 40s will definitely seem very warm. 40 in September and 40 in March are two different worlds completely.

Also, in April the sun is a lot higher in the sky and there is a lot more heat coming from the sun in April than in October.

I know what you mean. I hate the cold but I must admit, 47 would seem warm right about now.
