I feel terrible for you folks in Texas who have to deal with the heat summer after summer. We've been having a taste of it here in the northeast this year.

Currently in NW NJ

Partly Cloudy
86 F
Feels Like: 89 F
Dewpoint: 67 F
Humidity: 52%

New record high of 97 F today...broke the record of 95 F set back in 1988. New record of 100 F was set yesterday.

This is certainly the most intense heatwave we've had in years. Perhaps comparable to 1999? I'll have to check the records later.

That's the deal. It's not unusual to be miserable all summer long in Texas with a break in the heat quite a rarity. You're getting a taste of it, but it isn't the norm for you guys. Nevertheless, I know you are uncomfortable too, but I know you won't have to wait until late October for a decent break.
