I feel like I could develop and mature as a person if I wasn't in school.

I'm constantly self consious and terrified of being judged in there. Its hard and won't ever work for me. I just hate it.

They are *******s. Like today I was trying to study and this ******** just came in and started whistling delibretly. Like wtf did I do?

College was way better and more intellectually fulfilling than high school. Granted I didn't go to the best high school. There's aspects of college I do miss, but overall I'm glad to be done. Prefer working over being in school.

I feel the same exact way. Granted I'm suffering serious burnout right now, to the point where I couldn't pass my midterm in 2 days, but bleh.

Naw seriously though.

Can't be assed anymore. Fed up getting up at 7am and coming home and revising, it causes so much bull**** in my life.

Its hard for me to go with this condition and the way the children go on.

I've been in school for 14 years and as most people leave before then they don't experience the mental drain that upper sixth is. Its so hard this year, I don't feel confident that I can do the work anymore because its ten times harder and its all essay based.

I am so worried and drained. Its actually not worth it. I'm so fed up of getting up at 7am and going to school - its just so draining and exhausting and I can't cope anymore.

High school (between 16 and 18 in France) is still a step forward from middle school (between 11 and 15 here). People seem to mature a lot at around 15.

Having a narrower age range around probably makes a big difference to the feel of the place. My school was from age 11 to 18, and I remember once about a week after my 18th birthday (which would have been in March, so three months left to go before I finished school) walking through a playground full of 12-year-olds playing football, and that was when it suddenly occurred to me: what the hell was I still doing in this place?!

I dunno, while some were separated, mine had high and middle school in the same place. So we still had situations like the one you evoked till 17. But lunch times were different and we had a different playground as well. I imagine going to the canteen at the same time as hundreds of hungry, noisy middle schoolers would be a pretty unpleasant experience. Anyway, you guys north of the Channel only eat flavored crisps at noon, right?

They know it won't be long before they have to change, so they're taking advantage of it.
