I'm not sure how similar London is to Vancouver.. London is slightly warmer in every month, and has record highs at least 3C higher than Vancouver in every month bar February.. it seems to me that Vancouver is even more oceanic and has fewer fluctuations in temperature.

Vancouver is also sunnier by about 300 hours which comes mainly in the summer, whereas our summers are relatively gloomy in comparison and has double our precipitation.

I would say our climate more resembles Paris, with Paris being slightly warmer in summer.

That's right! Maybe I should have picked another city! Maybe Seattle?
However, I didn't mean to compare places like London and Paris (both in Europe, with similar weather patterns) but to compare places in other continents, that shouldn't have the same weather patterns

Ahh awesome, Vancouver is probably the most likely comparison then unless you are being really picky

Seattle maybe is equally comparible, but it is sunnier in summer there (even after accounting for the inflated US sunshine hours)

There is no twin climate in the US for my climate here. Some places are reasonably close for temperatures, but have completely different rainfall/sunshine patterns.

NW Spain would be the only close place, but even it has some fundamental differences.

Try to find something for Turku. Marquette, Michigan is still the best I've found in the W hemisphere.

New York City - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Akita, Akita - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Boston - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pittsburgh - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Aomori, Aomori - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I believe this fits more to American vs Japanese cities
Aomori tends to be have late-summer high seasonal lag

Seattle always comes in mind with London (Exclude summer diurnal range)

Bergen and Sitka's climate are not that similar.

Using data from wikipedia article, Sitka has mean annual precipitation 3,350 mm - that's wet! It's a full 51 % more than Bergen (2,250 mm).

Sitka has a mean annual temperature of 7.4C, but that's using 1981-2010 normal.
Bergen has 7.7C using the ancient 1961-90 normal. Using a newer 1981-2010 normal Bergen's mean annual is about 8.5C

Bergens extremes is: High 31.8C and record low -16.3C, not very different from Sitka.

The closest I could find to Bergens climate is Tlell on Queen Charlotte Islands (Haidi Gwaii), British Columbia, Canada:
Tlell - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mean annual only 0.5C different.
Precipitation: 1,321 mm at Tlell, which is 41% less than Bergen.
Record high and low is very similar to Bergen: 32.2C and -16.7C

The pattern of precipitation is not very different, plenty all year both places. In the newer normal Bergens wettest season is winter (not autumn as in 1961-90). Driest in Bergen is April and May, while May - July is driest in Tlell.

Any better matches for Bergen than tiny Tlell?

Maybe Prince Rupert, if the data from the town itsef is used and not the airport?

Masset and Bergen:
With 1,508 mm annual precipitation (187 mm more than Tlel) and very similar temperatures to Bergen, this town also on Queen Charlotte Islands is a better match for Bergen:
