Felt downright chilly.

But a breeze is always nice to have, especially on a hot day.
amen and it's hot right now with no wind.

That's the worst. Hot, stagnant air. Disgusting.

What have the temps been like this year in the USVI?
I think I remember you reporting some chilly days this past winter; 82 F here, 78 F there.

Your link just talked about the Caribbean in general, and focused more on SST's heating up.

In the summer I want as much wind as possible (well, without becoming a tornado!) We rarely get even a light breeze in the summer, which just adds to the misery.

15-20 is great sailing weather, so I'll take that. Plus it's nice to be outside when there is a breeze... especially when the humidity is high.

Let the wind blow. It has nothing else to do.

I'm in the gentle breezew group. 10 - 15 mph. Gusts here in NM today are more like 45 - 50.

I agree with the pro-strong wind faction on all the points. I like the gusts that come up, I like the feel of the breeze on my skin, and I just like wind (I even like some small debris to fly occasionally). I suppose it demonstrates that we have an atmosphere and we have weather, and when there's a strong wind it feels like Mother Nature is flexing her muscles. Or something like that.

Record me as voting for typical wind speeds ranging from 5 mph to 50 mph, and atypical wind speeds as low as dead-calm to as high as 100 mph.
