Looking for some unique, fun, creative ideas for a bridal shower gift...the recipient is in her twenties, fairly conservative..but not TOO conservative, enjoys good food, great wine.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

How about a wine/cheese/whatever basket the the happy couple can enjoy upon return from their honeymoon?

How well stocked are their kitchens? There are plenty of opportunities for fun kitchen gadgets or cooking things. You could also consider a nice picnic basket -- guaranteed to be used for happy things only.

For bridal showers, I always like the group of related items gift (like the picnic basket idea.) Like, a tray with a couple of margarita glasses and a bottle of good margarita mix (tequila optional) or a big flower pot with a trowel and garden gloves and some packs of seeds and maybe a gift card to a garden center. That sort of thing. You can customize it based on what they like and where they live and what you're willing to spend.

I like fleetiebelle's response. The bride is not registered? I always try to buy off of the registry; I've seen too many gifts get donated to thrift stores/charity because even though they were lovely, it was not something the bride wanted.
