Hello,

I'm the maid of honor and trying to plan a bachlorette party. This needs to be dry - no alcohol. I'm thinking a spa day at a little out of the way place. Other ideas please

Also is the bridal shower typically planned by the moms? Or should I start looking into that? 1st time maid of honor so any input would be greatly welcome.

Spa day could be fun but you have to keep in mind the costs and not make it a financial burden on anyone to celebrate the occasion. Moms shouldn't throw showers, if you follow etiquette rules.

Lately I've heard of groups going to an MLB game, a room escape adventure or mini golf, all of which also included going to either lunch or dinner as part of the festivities. I have a friend who is going to a low-key party on a harbour dinner cruise next weekend. Some really unique ideas to celebrate, IMO.

I didn't have a bachelorette party per se, but a group of us went boating with packed appetizers and desserts. They used the pictures for a wedding shower poster and a memory book.
