Is there an area between Jupiter and Miami comparable to Jupiter, preferably similar to the area around Tim Mara/Ocean Way? Love the area, awesome school district, location, and price we are willing to pay, but we just need to be a little closer to Ft. Lauderdale, over an hour is too far to travel for my husband's work. Any suggestions?

Schools by the beach in South PBC can be hit or miss, but parts of Ocean Ridge/Delray/Boca might work for you.

Delray has a vibrant beach scene but home prices near the beach are very high. Just sold a tear-down for 1mil there. Some nice townhouses though in the mid 1's.
Boca could probably fit everything for you. The area around Lake Boca would probably have the closest fit to the area you are referring to. Jupiter/Boca have different over all feels to them but this area would have a nice beach, homes in the general price range of Maisons De La Mar (Tim Mara), and Boca schools are generally considered to be highly rated. There is also lots of new construction in this area.
Easy drive to Ft. Laud from here as well.

Ok, so I checked out Lake Boca, ouch, what's available now is more than we want to spend, especially for older houses. I actually cruised a website's MLS up and down the coast from Miami to just south of Jupiter and looks like there isn't anything with what we can get, or want, like in Jupiter…boo. So looks like I will have to look more inland. Any suggestions of towns as close to the beach as possible with good schools? I know, back to surfing the MLS a little more inland.

Sorry I should have clarified a bit, were you looking on Tim Mara in Maisons De La Mar? There's only a 1-2 homes in there and they are in the mid 1mil range. There are a few homes around the Lake Boca area (not on the water) in the same price range, including some new construction.

Yes, we were looking at that one, but mostly the open lot available on that street. Please point me in the direction of these houses, and new construction, around Lake Boca!

Anything new east of the ICW in east Boca is going to be huge money.......Por La Mar is the area just north of Lake Boca. There is a larger neighborhood on the north side of Palmetto Park Rd called Boca Raton Riviera that I have always liked but it is a lot of 50+ yr old houses! Cool part is the east side of that neighborhood is the city owned Red Reef Golf Course/Park.
