^^^No, I agree. I used to live close to CLT, unlike many posters here who read the stats and post how dangerous it is. It is getting bigger and it (crime) is getting worse. I once thought of CLT for relocation possibilities, but then when I read (not here on this forum) but on another source that ppl from S FL, NY and Boston were crowding the streets, road rage and congestion was getting worse, I decided it wasnt for me. But there are lots of nice places around the CLT area that are far safer, the ppl are friendlier, and ppl arent so rude and aggressive on the roads, unlike many areas in S FL.

And by the way, this is a Charlotte-specific problem. FL has problems like this in many of its cities. Charlotte's crime probably isnt as bad as places like Tampa, Miami and Orlando (per capita). Plus, Charlotte's crime cant be as bad as Orlando's due to the fact that Orlando has more murders in 2006 and so far in 2008.
Good point. And sorry for ranting. But south fl does have its problems. But I hope charlotte can handle the population explosion. Its getting pretty crowded here. And I agree they do have good areas here.

Is that because you don't get the same reaction if you yell "duck"?

Correct, to some it may be boring. All neighborhoods dont look like the United Nations are represented, it's pretty black and white. You wont hear all kinds of different languages, in fact mostly just plain old English, and that could be boring to some I guess. But this is America, atleast up there it is still.
