Hi there. My husband and I are relocating to FL from SoCal and are looking at a unit in the Summit Lake Condos off of Summit Blvd, near S. Military Trail. From the aeriel view and google maps it seems like a nice development, near Trump golf course, close to a market, etc. How is the area in terms of safety? or the 33406 zip code in general? I checked the crime report with the sheriff office and there were several burglaries, suspicies car/person report, but I don't know if it was an above average amount, or if the homeowners in the area are watchful citizens? I work from home so would like to be able to get out, go for a walk and not be worried. Also, my husbands' job takes him away for several days at a time and I want to feel safe on my own! Any thoughts about that area of WPB or the condo complex in general would be so appreciated! Thanks.

That wouldn't be my first recommendation, but it's not a horrible area. There's other areas that would probably be a little better for you depending on your situation.

Thanks for the response. My husband managed to go by the complex and saw bulletins warning of recent break-ins so we are going to pass on that area and look in Broward.

There are nicer areas further North then Broward...
Guess it all depends on where you need to be.

I used to live in Socal and now in Boca and I am single lady and feel safe. In FL what I found is in all areas there are good and bad parts. In Borward I think Coconut Creek is very nice and more down to earth then where I am. In WP area I liked Royal Palm and Wellington. I rented in Wellington and found it safe and super nice but on recent threads there was not great comments so everyone is different. Where will you or your husband be working cause to me that would also impact the move choice? How much do you want to spend and how many bedroom?
