I'm looking to move to WPB sometime towards the end of summer for work. Any good suggestions for apartments in the $700 to $1000 range for 1BR/BA.

I'm only 21 moving for work, so I'm a little skeptical of the area considering its large retirement community. Any insight into this area would be greatly appreciated.

For apartment I would suggest Stoneybrook Apts. on Boynton Beach Blvd. just east of the turnpike. My niece moved there from VA last summer. She's been very happy living there. The apartments are nice for the price.

I will suggest you to stay away from west palm...expecially at the end of summer. we moved from Philly last year and you wont find a soul on the streets day and night.
Anyway if you HAVE to move here the only joung area is city place. There at least you'll have a starbucks to walk in the morning.
Stay away from the edge and try to find a location in city place wont face the train rail

good luck!!

Of course you won't find a soul on the streets at "The Edge"--- it faces Australian Avenue! Nobody walks there!

You could live in downtown WPB and Cityplace without a car pretty easily. Everything you need is walkable, or attainable by the trolley. Supermarket, dry cleaners, doctors, salons, restaurants, shops and dining.

I lived IN actual Cityplace for over a year... summer is of course slower, due to the seasonal nature of Palm Beach, but it is certainly not dead, especially among younger people who live here year long rather than snowbird. (this isn't Philly, why on earth did you think a city of 100k would be as happening as Philly?)
