Yeah I hate Floridiots. We (yes, I admit I fall into this category) either go 40 or 100 in a 60 zone. I tend to fall into the latter category. Its annoying on I-95 when you get caught behind a slow idiot in the fast lane, but at most points near WPB, the road is big enough so that it doesnt really matter except at rush hour. Although, I always found that people seem to follow the passing lane rule on the turnpike. Maybe I'm just lucky?

I don't know but I see so many accidents here in Boca and on Glades near the mall I would say a few a week. That is what I see so who knows how many. Between the slow and fast drivers, the young and old it is a mess. I can't even imagine if there was snow and ice here what a nightmare it would be. I wonder too why they don't have camera lights in FL. In Ca they did and though I have mixed feelings I bet it would cause people to be more careful though there would be a lot of flashing.

Do you know what the "camera lights" are for? I have never heard of them used to give infractions for anything other than speeding or red light running, the latter which have been installed in other local cities like Pembroke Pines and Aventura for revenue generation. Boca Raton wants to install them as well. Most of the "cameras", however, are infrared sensing only and used as part of a traffic light synchronization system. That's why CA has beautifully timed traffic lights in many areas. In fact, the "cameras" are all over Broward County just to the south, and while most think they are there to track you, those in the know realize it's part of an incomplete system that was supposed to be on board two years ago (that's why you get stuck at every red light on most roads in Broward in the past 2 years) and that the cameras acutally can't sense any kind of photographic detail. They also have some in Miami-Dade and they acutally work there.
