Pet Boarding in Jupiter (Wellington, Royal Palm Beach: home, live, costs)

In June I will need to board a small dog and a cat for 10 - 11 days. The place I have used for years keeps raising their rates to the point that the pet boarding seems unreasonable.

What are others paying per day for a small dog - 15@# and a cat.

My normal place is now $25 for the dog and $20 for the cat.

I am not sure if you would want someone coming into your home but maybe a pet sitter that comes in a few times a day. I have seen adds on craigslist for insured companies. Not sure the price though

They don't go to Jupiter, but here are the rates from one pet sitting company.

Thank you for the information but Wellington is about 30 miles away - that is just too far. The boarding costs are really off the charts anymore - it was not that long about that you could board a cat for $10 a day and a small dog for $15.00 - $25.00 a day - now the prices are up to $45.00 a day and higher. The people that come into your home come 3 - 4 times a day and charge about $15 - $18 per visit. That is $600 - $700 for 10 day period. One place quoted me $44 a day for the dog only.

Can you maybe ask one of the girls/guys at your vets office? One of the girls at my old vets office did that for clients. They always lived in the area of the office so it was too much of an inconvenience. Just a thought.
