And Beckley's not likely to get a really heavy snowfall, anyway, compared to Elkins, Davis, Kingwood, etc.

November 16th was first snow fall in Helena MT- about 6" then temps dropped the following week to -15 at night, highs during the day of -4.

Actually not bad unless the wind is blowing, lol.

Both my kids schools have a policy that unless it is below zero they play outside for recess. Schools are not delayed due to 6" of snow, and there is no 'panic' in the streets when snow is predicted. No salt on the roads, just sand and you better get snow tires and buck it up.

It's a different world here. I like it!

Sorry I've been absent from the WV crew! Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Has it snowed on Keyser's Ridge yet? Years back when I used to hunt up there end of October was the first snow there..

It's calling for snow all week here. The elk have moved down into the valley's now. Pretty awesome migration. Hunters had a lot of success the last two weeks. Season for big game closed this past Sunday.

We goofed in Mobley today...
It snowed and someone decided to check out the weather rock to find the malfunction....
Well,...after all that Tarp and Stimulus money from DC...
After all that 'earmark money from Congressman Alan B. Moneyhand and Senator MoJo...

It...
I mean the **it flowed downhill all the way to the Mobley Street Department (who takes care of most of the maintinence around here)...
and Joe Buggy, the head man who had supervised the assembly of the new weather rock, said that it had been place into the rope sling upsidedown...

When the smoke cleared at city hall about 9:30 am the real fault was found to be in the instruction booklet that had been printed in China....
page 4 had been omited and it had to do with the proper placing the weather rock...

It was decided to remove the weather rock...turn it over and place the blame directly on ex-Pres. George Bush...

That has been done and the weather rock is now predicting correctly...

The digital display is showing Dec 1-2 as a day with snow....We believe that to be correct.

But to be Politically Correct we stand open for reveue....

It's hard to find good help around Mobley these days... everybody's out working on a drilling rig somewhere, chasing that elusive Marcellus Shale.
