I'm really digging WV, Still trying to settle on where to look in the state tough, I want to be within a hour drive to a somewhat major city (population at least 60,000). Also what to be around some great hiking spots, like when I lived in NC we had the blue ridge park way, I'm looking for something like that. I want to be in a fairly rural spot, preferably with some acreage. People have recommended the Morgantown area but I'm not seeing anything that fits my bill on any of the online real estate sites. Maybe some help from the City-Data forums will make this search for my personal perfection a bit easier. Thanks
Check out Wayne, Mason, Putnam and Lincoln Counties. Most of these counties still have a lot of rural land with many farms that might suit your needs. All are very close to Huntington and Charleston which are each at about 50,000 people and provide plenty to do. Then you also have Columbus, Cincinnati and Lexington all within a 2-3 hour drive. If you are interested in this area, I can find some more specific info on towns etc. for you. Hope this helps and let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

For the Greenbrier River valley (Pocahontas and Greenbrier counties) try Red Oak Realty.
