Not really. I never spent much time there because they never seemed to have much to offer that we didn't already have in Marietta/Pburg, but I do remember a decent dairy bar up there with pretty good hot dogs. I can't remember if it was in St. Marys or across the bridge in Newport.

It's pretty nice & quiet out that way.

Parkersburg is about 30 minutes away and is a smallish medium sized city with moderate shopping and conveniences. New Martinsville is about 40 minutes the other way and I'm not sure if they have much there these days, but if you needed amneties or luxuries of a larger city then Wheeling is about 60 miles away.

There is more stuff in Parkersburg than Wheeling.....and if you're going to go to Wheeling, you might as well go to Pittsburgh...

More in Parkersburg than Wheeling? Wow. I'm not disputing that, it's just surprising. I grew up around Parkersburg and assumed that there'd be more in Wheeling due to it's vincinity to Pitt.

Well there is more stuff to do in Pittsburgh...but not Wheeling as much. The area has sadly been kinda dying a slow death in recent decades.
